About me
Terence is a co-founder and Executive Director of Nexus Frontier Tech, which customises artificial intelligence products for its clients to build up new capabilities to attain unfair business advantage. He is also a Professor at the London campus of ESCP Europe Business School.
He is a co-author of The AI Republic: Building the Nexus Between Humans and Intelligent Automation, an international best seller on Amazon. He also co-wrote the best seller Understanding How the Future Unfolds: Using DRIVE to Harness the Power of Today’s Megatrends. The framework contained therein was nominated for the CK Prahalad Breakthrough Idea Award by Thinkers50, the most prestigious award in business thought leadership. The DRIVE framework has also led Chartered Management Institute’s own magazine Professional Manager in the UK to name Terence as one of the 18 new voices in 2018 that reshape management and leadership. Talent Quarterly in the US called the DRIVE framework one of the 24 trends transforming talent management in the years to come.
He also wrote the book Corporate Finance: The Basics.
Terence has written more than 110 articles and regularly provides commentaries on the latest current affairs including technology-driven transformations, future of work/education, artificial intelligence and blockchain in many outlets including the Financial Times, Forbes, The Guardian, The Economist, CNBC, Les Echos, the World Economic Forum blog, Harvard Business Review blog (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Italian and German), and Wired. He has also appeared on radio and television shows on China’s CCTV, Channel 2 of Greece, France 24, Japan’s NHK and Radio România Cultural.
Moreover, he delivered speeches at the United Nations, International Monetary Funds and International Trade Centre. Invited by the Government of Latvia, he was a keynote speaker at a Heads of Government Meeting alongside the Premier of China and Prime Minister of Latvia. Terence has also been invited to speak at corporate events in Croatia, Ecuador, Indonesia, India, Italy, Monaco, Norway, Qatar, Russia, Thailand, UK and UAE.
He has either worked with and run training for companies including Allianz, Atlantic Grupa, China Merchant Securities, Costa Crociere, Dassault Systèmes, Dukat, EY, F&C Investment Management, Ferrari World, France Telecom/Orange, ICICI, Indian Oil, Indian Railway, Johnson & Johnson, London Stock Exchange Group, Lloyds Bank, McKinsey & Co., MOL, Molex, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, NIS/Gazprom, Olayan, Papyus, Pfizer, Podravka, PWC, Rexam, UniCredit, Walgreen Alliance Boots, Yahoo! and YIT as well as intergovernmental organisations such as European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Defence Agency and the United Nations.
Previously, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at Schroders, Citibank and Lazard Brothers in Montréal and New York. Terence also worked in London as a consultant at EY focusing on UK financial services. He obtained his doctoral degree from the Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK.
